영어 단위 표현 알아보기 - SIZE / QUANTITY

 이번에는 영어 measure를 한번 정리해 보려고합니다. 막상 읽으려 알듯 말듯한 내용들이죠.

 

SIZE / QUANTITY

 

1. Meter (m) – 미터

  • I walked three meters to reach the bus stop.
  • She is 1.75 meters tall.
  • They measured the length of the room in meters.

2. Kilogram (kg) – 킬로그램

  • This bag weighs 5 kilograms.
  • I’ve gained 2 kilograms over the past month.
  • How many kilograms does this box contain?

3. Gram (g) – 그램

  • One teaspoon of salt is about 5 grams.
  • He ate 300 grams of fruit today.
  • The recipe calls for 200 grams of flour.

4. Liter (L) – 리터

  • She drank 2 liters of water after the workout.
  • I need a liter of milk for the recipe.
  • The car's fuel tank holds 50 liters.

5. Celsius (°C) – 섭씨

  • The temperature outside is 20°C.
  • Water freezes at 0°C.
  • Is it 30°C in here or is it just me?

6. Fahrenheit (°F) – 화씨

  • It’s 75°F today, which is quite warm.
  • The oven should be preheated to 350°F.
  • I prefer to keep my house at 68°F during winter.

7. Hour (h) – 시간

  • She works eight hours every day.
  • The meeting lasted for two hours.
  • I spent three hours studying last night.

8. Minute (min) – 분

  • Please wait for five minutes.
  • It took her only ten minutes to solve the problem.
  • I will call you in a few minutes.

9. Second (s) – 초

  • The car accelerated to 60 miles per hour in just 4 seconds.
  • Hold the button for 10 seconds.
  • It took me several seconds to understand what had happened.

10. Kilometer (km) – 킬로미터

  • The airport is 15 kilometers from here.
  • We’ve walked 5 kilometers so far.
  • She runs 10 kilometers every morning.

11. Mile (mi) – 마일

  • The nearest town is 10 miles away.
  • They walked 20 miles on their hiking trip.
  • How many miles do you drive to work every day?

12. Ton (t) – 톤

  • This truck can carry up to 10 tons of goods.
  • The ship weighs around 50,000 tons.
  • She lifted a ton of boxes yesterday.

13. Pound (lb) – 파운드

  • I lost 5 pounds last month.
  • The chicken weighs 3 pounds.
  • How many pounds does that box weigh?

14. Ounce (oz) – 온스

  • I need 3 ounces of sugar for this recipe.
  • The coffee cup holds 12 ounces of liquid.
  • The necklace weighs only 1 ounce.

15. Inch (in) – 인치

  • The TV screen is 55 inches wide.
  • My shoes are 10 inches long.
  • The bookshelf is 36 inches tall.

16. Foot (ft) – 피트

  • He is 6 feet tall.
  • The table is 4 feet long.
  • The house has a 12-foot ceiling.

17. Yard (yd) – 야드

  • The field is 100 yards long.
  • She can throw a football 50 yards.
  • The garden is about 20 yards from the house.

18. Watt (W) – 와트

  • This light bulb uses 60 watts of power.
  • Our house consumes about 500 kWh per month.
  • The TV uses 100 watts when it is turned on.

19. Ampere (A) – 암페어

  • The circuit requires 10 amperes of current.
  • This appliance draws 3 amperes of power.
  • The electrician fixed a 15-amp breaker.

20. Volt (V) – 볼트

  • The battery provides 12 volts of power.
  • The electric fence operates on 9 volts.
